The Foundation

Dave working at Deloitte in management consulting and Josh as a chemical engineer at Kimberly Clark meet up and decide to build a company based on recurring cash flow, hard work, and authenticity.

Greenleaf Capital is formed and makes its first acquisition, a single family rental in Acworth Georgia. Targeted annual revenues of $13,200!

Our First Multifamily Expansion

The Greenleaf team begins syndicating small apartment projects in the Atlanta Market. Our first acquisition is the 8 unit Dresden Villas apartments.

3rd Party Property Managment

The name Greenleaf sticks and the guys pitch single family home owners to rent their homes during the financial crisis, building a management portfolio of over 100 single family rentals and 300 student housing beds in Athens, GA.

Ownership Expansion

Built some student housing cottages, purchased 16 affordable housing units in Atlanta, and ventured in an 11 unit urban ATL deal requiring full renovation, giving us the confidence to leave our jobs.

Full-Time Greenleaf

Fully commit to Greenleaf’s mission of affordable housing and raise our first MILLION dollars to buy 66 vacant units on Lawrenceville Hwy in Decatur.

We hired our first person to operate the 66 units, raise another million dollars to buy 106 units on Buford Hwy in Doraville of a Fannie Mae foreclosure.
