Greenleaf Youth Camps

The story of Camp Greenleaf

Nearly 30 years ago, Greenleaf co-founder Josh Friedensohn’s family founded Camp Impact in his Texas hometown. The free camp provided fun activities and a safe haven for kids in under-resourced communities. Josh and members of his community spent many summers planning, organizing, and serving as camp counselors for Camp Impact. Inspired by this meaningful experience, Josh and the Greenleaf team planned and launched Camp Greenleaf!

The inaugural Camp Greenleaf took place in Gainesville, GA, in the summer of 2022 near a cluster of Greenleaf properties, and was free to the residents. The camp included free lunch and fun activities, including art, games, cooking, painting, music, sports, and dance. Josh and several of the Greenleaf team members served as camp counselors. The camp will take place annually in Gainesville, and we plan to expand camp offerings in the future.
